In a joint initiative by Boeing and Saudi Aramco, a focused workshop was organized with the goal to support the Saudi aviation sector.
The initiative was supported by the Economic Cities Authority and in partnership with the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and Emaar Economic City.
Boeing Saudi Arabia President Ahmed Jazzar said: “For more than 70 years, Saudi Arabia has been one of the most important strategic partners of Boeing. This cooperation with one of the largest corporations in the Kingdom such as Aramco will play a primary role in achieving the intended goals of this initiative.”
“Boeing is committed to our long-term partnership with national entities,” he added.
The workshop was hosted at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) and is part of the continued commitment of those participating in this initiative to support the Kingdom’s vision to localize industry and develop the skills of youth.
The workshop consisted of several lectures and presentations from experts in the aviation sector, aiding those participating in the workshop to better analyze and identify the special needs of the aviation sector, and studying current demand and planning.
The participants explored several topics that would help in discovering the training needs of the aviation sector and air transportation in the Kingdom and exploring direct investment opportunities in human capital as also mitigating risks and challenges, and unifying efforts to support development in this very important sector.
A committee was formed by members of the workshop to identify the outputs and future goals of this initiative and to work to achieve them.
This initiative will outline the strategic and national goals for the pioneers of the aviation industry in the Kingdom and to provide the training needs for this dynamic sector, paving the way to accelerate growth and development of the Saudi aviation sector.
